Job Description:
OVERVIEW:
The Network Engineer will perform network design, engineering and troubleshooting support for classified programs. Responsibilities include LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs/Point-to-point/point to multipoint and maintaining network availability for servers, storage and backup systems. Troubleshoot port security issues, VLAN issues and network outages. Control network management activities, data flows and firewall rules.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Build network topologies to deliver content from specific providers to users
Design, implement or maintain networks for LAN and WAN systems
Provide engineering designs, and plans for installation, integration, testing, upgrade, analysis, and maintenance/expansion of the network environment.
Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and design documents in support network upgrades and new mission requirements.
Part of a team that may need work schedule flexibility in support team providing on-site coverage of 5 day x 12 hours/day operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
