The role partners with business stakeholders to transform manual and complex processes into reliable automated workflows. Custom development in C#/.NET and SQL supports integrations, backend services, and enterprise application needs where platform configuration alone is not sufficient.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with business teams to understand their processes, identify opportunities for automation, and develop solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Build and maintain integrations between different business applications and systems using APIs, connectors, and other integration tools.
  • Develop custom solutions and supporting applications using technologies such as C#/.NET and SQL when low-code tools alone cannot meet business needs.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and maintain existing workflows, applications, and integrations to ensure they are reliable and perform as expected.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement new solutions, support system changes, and manage releases and upgrades.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, security, and development standards for automation solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and identify opportunities to use them to improve business processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, workflow automation, systems integration, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing workflow or automation solutions using a low-code platform, such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or a similar platform.
  • Experience with software development and programming languages such as C#/.NET and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with SQL and databases.
  • Experience connecting different applications or systems using APIs, integrations, or other integration tools.
  • Strong ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on improving processes and finding efficient solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, testing, documentation, and reliable solutions.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment when working with confidential and sensitive information.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, Intapp, or other workflow and automation platforms.
  • Experience working in a professional services, legal, financial, or other complex business environment.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience using AI or emerging technologies to improve business processes.

Salary Range (Toronto Only):

$100,000- $110,000 annually.
