JOB TITLE: Work Safety Manager

SUMMARY
This position will strategically plan, implement, and oversee all environmental, health, and safety programs across the company's entire supply chain, including industrial bakery production plants, logistics/distribution centers, and retail store locations. This role ensures 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA (food safety intersections), and DOT regulations while cultivating a resilient, zero-incident safety culture from the manufacturing floor to the retail counter.
JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:
3 Food Plant Safety: Combustible Dust & Thermal Hazard, Ergonomics
3 Logistics &Warehouse Safety: Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Fleet Safety & DOT (Department of Transportation) Compliance, Material Handling
3 Retail Bakery Store Safety: Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention, Burn & Cut Prevention, Emergency Action Plan (EAP) design and train retail staff
3 Corporate Compliance & Administration (Cross-Sector): Regulatory Auditing (OSHA, EPA, and local health/fire department inspection, Incident Investigation (Lead root analysis. RCA) for all injuries, near-misses, and property damage, and manage Work's Compensation claims case tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS
3 Experience: 5~8 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 2 years on managerial or supervisory role
3 Industry Background: Direct experience in Food manufacturing (SQF, HACCP, Environments), logistics, or multi-unit retail / hospitality is highly preferred.
3 Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910), DOT compliance, and local fire codes.
3 Bilingual (English and Korean), strongly preferred
3 Must be able to work weekends or holidays, when necessary
3 Must be proficient in English reading and writing
3 Must be able to work independently
3 Preferred Certificates: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional), OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification, HACCP or food Safety certification (a strong plus for understanding cross-contamination/sanitation safety)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL
3 Travel: Up to 30~40% travel required to conduct site audits at regional warehouses and retail storefronts.
3 Environmental: Exposure to variable environments, from noisy manufacturing floors and cold-storage distribution centers to fast-paced retail kitchens
EDUCATION
3 Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
