Full Job Description
The Opportunity

The Wholesale Planner provides in-depth analysis at the account and location level across designated retailers and brands. This role evaluates commercial initiatives such as new product launches, activations, and animation programs to ensure selling targets and ROI requirements are achieved.

The Planner partners cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Field Teams to drive performance, optimize inventory, and unlock growth opportunities across the portfolio.

What you'll get to do

Sales & Stock Performance
  • Identify and act on regional and door-level opportunities to unlock incremental sales
  • Develop and propose assortment optimizations based on location-level selling trends
  • Align account plans with bonus targets by embedding door-level opportunities into forecasts
  • Deliver weekly business reporting with clear topline insights and actionable location highlights
  • Track and evaluate new launches at the door level to ensure strong execution and early read performance


Drive Commercial Planning (CPS & Promotions)
  • Build and manage CPS forecasts with detailed breakout by SKU across launches and promotional moments
  • Ensure alignment between commercial plans, inventory allocation, and expected sell-through
  • Support pricing, promotional, and sell-in strategies with data-backed recommendations

Event & Visual Week Performance
  • Set and track door-level sales goals for events and Visual Weeks
  • Partner with Regional Directors to align on execution plans and performance targets
  • Allocate POS and collateral to support strong in-store activation
  • Recap performance with clear insights and recommendations to improve future activations

Own Order Flow & Shipping Execution
  • Manage the full order lifecycle including review, release, and follow-up on open orders
  • Maintain visibility and accuracy of order-on-hand and in-season flow
  • Track receipts vs. forecast and proactively flag risks or gaps
  • Partner with Demand Planning and Logistics to manage in-season flow and execution
  • Execute POS ordering to support retail needs

Manage Inventory & Product Lifecycle
  • Partner with Demand Planning to forecast inventory for launches and core SKUs
  • Proactively communicate out-of-stocks and risks to internal teams and retail partners
  • Own product lifecycle management, including discontinuations, transitions, and clean-up strategies
  • Support stock optimization through reallocations, swaps, and assortment rationalization

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • 3-5 years' work experience in sales, planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, most notably, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Experience with major department stores, retailers, or vendor partners (a plus).
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations
  • Able to influence and gain buy-in by building trustworthy relationships with integrity
  • Experience with SAP, G2N, Cube, BW, and retailer portals (preferred)

Compensation Data

As required by New York State's salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000.00 - $85,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
