Description and RequirementsGeneral DescriptionResponsible for driving continuous revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic direction for assigned practice area within Casualty Wholesale businesses. Provides leadership, management, and oversight to division managers and direct reports to achieve financial, operational, and production objectives.
Responsibilities - Responsible for overall business strategy and achievement of identified financial growth targets.
- Lead the execution of practice-specific initiatives, market strategies, and business development efforts.
- Accountable for full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of assigned team, including leadership, coaching, training, and performance management.
- Oversee operational aspects of the practice, including organizational structure, resource allocation, and staffing requirements.
- Provide management oversight and P&L responsibility for assigned profit centers.
- Develop and lead implementation of strategic business initiatives, marketing strategies, and growth campaigns.
- Partner with Programs, Brokerage, Binding, and Carrier partners to identify placement opportunities and maximize revenue across distribution channels.
- Directly manage Producers and other key production leaders as assigned.
- Provide recommendations to executive leadership regarding process improvements, sales strategy, market opportunities, and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a senior technical and market resource, providing guidance on complex casualty risks, coverage solutions, and placement strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers, clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify emerging market trends, industry developments, and revenue opportunities to support growth objectives.
- Drive carrier expansion, strategic partnerships, appointment opportunities, and carrier growth initiatives.
- Effectively lead and collaborate with a team in in-person, hybrid, and remote environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - 10+ years of insurance industry experience, including 5+ years leading managers and high-performing production teams. Experience managing multiple P&Ls preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Property & Casualty license required.
- Extensive knowledge of wholesale brokerage operations, casualty markets, carrier relationships, and risk placement strategies.
- Demonstrated experience leading casualty-focused teams, driving production results, and achieving growth objectives.
- Strong understanding of casualty coverages, market trends, underwriting appetites, and carrier capabilities.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of motivating, coaching, and developing sales and brokerage professionals.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to provide market intelligence, consultative guidance, and client-specific solutions to producers and sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers, retail brokers, and strategic business partners.
