Qualifications

• Two-year college or university education; minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS D17.1 & D17.2 standards.
• Experience in welding processes and aerospace specifications.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials like super alloys, Inconel 625/718, titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• AWS certified weld inspector preferred.
• Proficient in TIG, spot, and laser welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage welding processes to meet customer and industry standards.
• Lead NADCAP and customer welding audits.
• Review and improve procedures for qualifying weld operators and welders.
• Assist in training and approving weld operators.
• Act as the welding subject matter expert for the business unit.
• Ensure contract review flows customer requirements accurately.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineers for compliance with quality management systems.
• Engage with internal departments to maintain control over welding equipment and processes.
