Full Job Description
This role is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.

Your Responsibilities as a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager:
  • As a team member, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of water resources engineering projects at the proposal, planning and execution stages for engineering studies and construction projects.
  • Lead and be responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings for water control structures, regional flood mitigation projects, and water quality improvement projects.
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of stormwater analysis and design through related experience. This will include the preparation of stormwater management plans involving hydraulic and hydrologic modeling analyses, hydrogeology, preparation of design concepts, assessment of climatic data, flood assessments, floodplain mapping and modeling, flood mitigation designs, natural channel design, environmental compliance and regulatory permitting.
  • Technical review and sealing of engineering design drawings, where applicable.
  • Hands on experience with stormwater management modeling, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and StormWise/ICPR4.
  • Oversee pre-construction, during-construction and post-construction implementation of water resources projects and coordination of field work.
  • Provide peer review of reports and designs by internal water resources staff.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, and others to determine project requirements and obtain approvals.
  • Project Management includes scheduling to ensure that project and clients' needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Also includes the management of the financial aspects of the projects.
  • Supervising CAD designers and project coordination with other departments, professions, and agencies.
  • Supervising permit technicians and administration in completing permit applications to move the permit application process forward.

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field from four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
  • Construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively present information to governmental boards, public groups and/or boards of directors.
  • Experienced with software such as stormwater routing modeling, ArcGIS, AutoCAD (Civil3D) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the rules and regulations implemented by state and federal regulatory agencies, such as: Florida Department of Emergency Protection (FDEP), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is desired.
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
  • Excellent driving record and valid driver's license is required and an essential part of the position.
