CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Services Team in Denver, CO.

Under direct supervision, you can expect to perform basic complexity calculations, modeling, data analysis, designs, on site evaluations and/or other similar evaluations for water resources projects including:
  • Climate change adaptation
  • Coastal analysis and engineering

  • Hydrology and hydraulics

You can expect to Utilize Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) systems and TKM material. You may pose technical questions that support development of the TKM body of knowledge and you may support TKM content development as directed. You may create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of GIS software and practices. Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Basic Knowledge of engineering principles of design. Basic knowledge of hydraulics as appropriate for technical work. Good verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Basic knowledge of other support tools such as mathematical models, scripting languages, etc.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 1 year of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
