Wastewater Operator I or II - City of New Prague

Qualifications

• Valid wastewater operator certification (I or II) required.
• Experience in wastewater treatment operations preferred.
• Knowledge of biological aerated filter systems is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain wastewater treatment equipment.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Class A Biological Aerated Filter Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on plant equipment and lift stations.
• Collect samples and conduct tests to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate, calibrate, and troubleshoot wastewater treatment equipment.
• Prepare and maintain detailed operation and maintenance records.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with a 45-minute response time.
