SummaryHII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to support the Department of State's INL/A Aviation Program. This role provides comprehensive leadership over aircraft maintenance, engineering sustainment, technical oversight, and maintenance production management for a diverse fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft operating globally in challenging environments.
Maintenance management activities are primarily executed from Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, with required travel to OCONUS locations supporting INL/A operational sites.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned aviation maintenance professional with significant experience in aircraft sustainment, depot level maintenance, configuration management, technical compliance, and management of large, multinational maintenance workforces. This leader must be capable of integrating maintenance operations with flight operations, logistics, and engineering to ensure maximum aircraft availability and safe mission execution.

What You Will Do- Direct, manage, and coordinate all levels of aircraft maintenance, including scheduled, unscheduled, depot, modification, and battle damage repair activities in accordance with OEM, military, and INL/A technical standards.
- Oversee maintenance programs for aircraft, major components, sub systems, special mission equipment, avionics, and aircraft survivability equipment (ASE).
- Ensure compliance with DA PAM 738 750/751, AR 750 1, ICAP/ARMS checklist requirements, and all DoS/INL maintenance directives.
- Manage production control, quality control, tool control, maintenance engineering, and technical publications libraries.
- Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, forecasting of life limited components, and management of repair cycle metrics and ASL/bench stock coordination.
- Oversee engineering and sustainment functions including configuration management, reliability/maintainability analysis, technical data accuracy, and system modification projects.
- Ensure calibration and management of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) programs.
- Maintain an Oil Analysis Program (OAP) and ensure compliance with all aircraft specific sustainment requirements.
- Support contingency, surge, and emergency operations by rapidly deploying maintenance teams and ensuring aircraft availability.
- Implement and contribute to DoS Air Wing's Safety Management System (SMS), risk management processes, and mishap prevention initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance data entry, reporting, and records management in accordance with INL/A requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Logistics, IT, and Program Management to ensure seamless support to mission execution.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve fleet readiness, extend aircraft life, and support modernization initiatives.
What We Are Looking For- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in acquisition and sustainment of aircraft and aircraft systems.
- Proven technical experience in:
- Aircraft systems design, development, integration, testing, sustainment, and documentation.
- Managing maintenance support for complex aviation activities.
- Interfacing with government and contractor personnel on technical and programmatic matters.
- Managing resources, ensuring compliance with standards, and conducting feasibility and cost analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and coordinate all contract support activities.
- Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies and maintenance goals to subordinate personnel.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Clearance: Must posses and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred: Bonus Points For...- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Logistics, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large scale aircraft maintenance programs, including scheduled, unscheduled, and depot level maintenance.
- Strong expertise in applying OEM/MIL standards, FAA compliance requirements, and government aviation regulations.
- Proven leadership in high tempo, multi site maintenance environments supporting mission critical aviation operations.
- Exceptional ability to coordinate across engineering, logistics, safety, and operational teams to ensure fleet readiness.
- Strong proficiency in aircraft technical publication management, configuration control, and sustainment engineering.
- Experience working with host nation personnel and multinational teams in austere locations.
