Full Job Description
The Vice President & Treasurer is responsible for leading the organization's treasury function, including cash management, liquidity planning, capital structure, debt management, banking relationships, financial risk management, and treasury operations. This role partners closely with the Sr. VP & CFO and executive leadership team to optimize capital allocation, ensure financial stability, and support the company's strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Liquidity Management

  • Develop and execute treasury strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimization.
  • Ensure adequate funding for operational and strategic needs.
  • Oversee global cash management structures and treasury operations.


Capital Structure & Financing

  • Lead debt and capital market activities, including refinancing, debt issuances, credit facilities, and other financing transactions.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital structure strategies to optimize cost of capital.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, investors, rating agencies, and financial institutions.


Risk Management

  • Develop and oversee policies related to interest rate, foreign exchange, commodity, and counterparty risk.
  • Manage hedging programs and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide insurance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.


Banking & Financial Institution Relationships

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for banking partners.
  • Negotiate banking services, credit agreements, and treasury-related contracts.
  • Evaluate banking performance and optimize banking structures.


Financial Planning & Analysis Support

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Investor Relations teams.
  • Provide treasury inputs to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and recommend actions to improve cash flow and financial flexibility.


Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and develop treasury professionals.
  • Establish treasury policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Present treasury strategies and financial updates to executive leadership, lenders, and other constituents as necessary.
  • Support enterprise-wide financial and risk management initiatives.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or CTP preferred.


Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive treasury, corporate finance, banking, or capital markets experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing treasury or finance teams.
  • Experience with debt financing, capital markets, cash management, and financial risk management.
  • Public company experience preferred.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, capital markets, and corporate finance.
  • Expertise in liquidity management, working capital optimization, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of banking products, debt instruments, and hedging strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
