About the role:

Gartner is looking for a Vice President, Product Management to lead the product strategy, transformation and management of our product portfolio serving Chief Procurement Officers and key Procurement leaders. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation of Gartner's procurement product portfolio, including the innovations and enhancements necessary to deliver exceptional value for clients and drive growth for Gartner.

This high-impact, high-visibility role sits within the Global Product Management (GPM) team focused on global business leaders and will work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm to evolve the procurement business and accelerate growth. This person is a critical member of the global business leadership team and will own end-to-end product strategy, transformation and execution across the procurement portfolio.

What you will do:
  • Understand the needs of Chief Procurement Officers, key Procurement leaders and their teams across the procurement function with focus on what drives client value, retention and growth.
  • Own evolution of the broader procurement product strategy and lead the transformation across the portfolio to drive double-digit growth for Gartner.
  • Identify, develop, launch, and manage role-specific innovations across multiple sources of value that balance client needs with Gartner's business economics.
  • Evolve the go-to-market approach, gain stakeholder and senior leadership buy-in and program manage continued change, innovations and enhancements.
  • Identify and analyze key business metrics to uncover reasons for success, reasons for obstacles, and define and execute strategies to improve performance.
  • Lead collaborative problem-solving sessions with cross-functional groups (Product Management, Business and Technology Insights, Services, Sales and others) to understand performance drivers and develop and execute strategies and action plans to accelerate performance.
  • Develop and present regular updates to key stakeholders and senior executives - including the executive team.


What you will need:
  • 12+ years product strategy and/or product management leadership experience (preferably in B2B products) across the full product lifecycle.
  • Expertise in transforming product portfolios and go-to-market approaches, leading change efforts to accelerate growth.
  • Ideal candidates will have an understanding of and/or experience in working with business and technology procurement leaders.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytics, including ability to turn quantitative analysis into actionable strategies and recommendations with measurable business impact.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
  • Proactive product leader with an ownership mindset and a bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Track record of delivering products and programs to market that solve customer problems and drive meaningful engagement, retention and growth.
  • Passionate about technology and possess the ability to work with engineering, customer experience, and customer research teams.
  • Ability to work in a culture that thrives on feedback and seeks opportunities to stretch outside comfort zone.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
