SUMMARYThe VP, Partner Engagement is a first line business role responsible for the day-to-day operational and client-facing management of the Bank's FinTech partner relationships, from initial diligence through onboarding, program changes, and ongoing partner oversight. The role serves as the liaison across business development and business operations and is a key role in the success of partner onboarding, relationship management, and operational oversight. The function will act as a primary business point of contact for prospective and existing partners, manages the partner pipeline, coordinates diligence collection and stakeholder routing, and prepares materials for business approval forums.
As a first line business function, this role is accountable for business execution, coordination, documentation, and follow-through. Ongoing responsibilities include monitoring day to trends across the Partner Portfolio, supporting implementation, management in execution of necessary partner development and business needs, and collaborating with all business lines to ensure strong practices are in place.
This position is hybrid, with an expectation to come into our NYC mid-town office 2-3x per week. RESPONSIBILITIESPartner Intake and Diligence Coordination- Act as initial operational point of contact for prospective and existing FinTech partners, from initial diligence requests through onboarding and ongoing relationship management over the lifecycle.
- Collect and organize partner diligence packages and route required documentation to the appropriate lines of business, including but not limited to Finance, IT, Partner Compliance, Fraud, Risk, BSA/AML, Legal, and other subject matter reviewers.
- Create and support management of intake tickets and tracking for onboarding and program change requests, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged at the right stage.
- Serve as a client-facing contact for partners on onboarding requirements, documentation requests, and program change discussions.
Pipeline and Relationship Management- Manage the Bank's prospective partner and program pipeline, maintaining visibility into stage, status, and outstanding requirements.
- Own day-to-day operational oversight of existing partner relationships, coordinating routine business needs, escalations, and ongoing requirements between the partner and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain complete and organized records of partner and program status, decisions, approvals, and outstanding items for business reporting purposes.
Partner Approval Committee (PAC) Support- Prepare and consolidate PAC materials and business proposals in coordination with Head of Operations, responsible business owners, and applicable line of business stakeholders for their analysis and review.
- Confirm required reviews and approvals have been obtained and documented prior to PAC presentation.
- Present and/or coordinate presentation of prospective partners, programs, and material program changes to the PAC, and maintain records of committee decisions, conditions, and action items.
Cross-Functional Coordination- Serve as the central business coordination point for partner and program initiatives.
- Identify onboarding, launch, or program change matters requiring escalation and coordinate with accountable stakeholders to drive resolution.
- Provide regular pipeline and status reporting to business leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- 5 or more years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related field within banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Experience managing compliance activities across settlement services, card issuing, payments, sponsored banking, correspondent banking, or retail banking.
- Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial compliance requirements relevant to partner programs and third-party oversight.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple lines of business, managing deliverables, and maintaining accountability for quality and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, sound compliance judgment, and the ability to document and escalate concerns clearly.
- Experience with compliance technology, workflow, data, and reporting tools is preferred.
