Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Vice President, Quality and Safety. You will be responsible for developing and executing organizational quality and performance improvement. You will also be responsible for leadership and organizational wide direction in ensuring a continuously improving culture of safety. Responsibilities:
• You will facilitate and direct organizational wide risk management program to ensure compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards of professional organizations, i.e., JCAHO, OSHA, etc.
• You will develop and implement educational programs for employees, medical staff and board members on analysis of risk assessment, historical and concurrent occurrence and claims data and national trends.
• You will ensure responsibility for organizational wide occurrence reporting system; analyze and report trends and identifies appropriate interventions to reduce risk and liability to the organization.
• You will lead organizational performance efforts for JCAHO, core quality measures, COP and regulatory and all other accrediting and regulatory agencies.
• You will ensure compliance with JCAHO, and all legal, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements are met.
What qualifications you will need:
• Bachelor's Degree required in Nursing or Healthcare related field required; Master's Degree preferred
• Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred
**If serving as facility's primary Risk Manager, VP must have current Florida license in Healthcare Risk Management (FL LHRM)
• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) OR CHCQM (Diplomate in American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians)
Individuals without CPHQ or ABQUARP will be granted a 12 month grace period to obtain CPHQ or ABQAURP , if all other qualifications are met
• CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and TJC regulations.
• Previous experience in the clinical, risk management, and/or administrative arenas preferred
