As a member of the leadership team, you'll champion a user-centered and innovation-driven approach, ensuring our platforms deliver compelling, streamlined, and scalable user experiences. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise in platform product design, the ability to align UX with business objectives, experience incorporating AI-enabled solutions into user experiences, and managing cross-functional teams in global organizations.

Key Responsibilities: Vision & Strategy - Own and articulate a compelling strategic vision for UX/UI across all F5 platform products, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Define and implement a design strategy that supports scalability, user engagement, embedding AI-driven features, and seamless multi-product integration.
- Anticipate industry and customer trends, incorporating AI solutions to improve long-term design philosophy and maintain competitive advantage.
Leadership & Team Development - Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of UX designers, researchers, product designers, and AI specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration at all levels of your team, including the delivery of AI-enhanced experiences.
- Balance high-level strategy with hands-on involvement by mentoring team members and guiding AI-specific design efforts when necessary.
Collaboration - Partner closely with product management, engineering, AI development teams, marketing, and data analytics teams to seamlessly embed artificial intelligence into F5's user experience goals.
- Advocate for AI-powered design approaches and maintain strong relationships across the organization to foster user-first and tech-friendly collaboration.
AI-Driven User Experiences - Elevate F5's approach to integrating artificial intelligence into user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making.
- Design AI-enabled features and interactions that enhance accessibility, personalization, and predictive workflows across products.
- Champion the seamless application of machine learning and predictive analytics to elevate user satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Execution - Oversee the end-to-end design process for platform features and AI-powered tools, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with product roadmaps.
- Drive the development of a unified design system that supports AI-driven innovation and scaling across product teams.
- Deliver measurable impact through enhancements in NPS, adoption, retention, and customer success, with specific focus on outcomes enabled by AI-powered capabilities.
Required Qualifications: - 12+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Expertise in platform product design, including embedding artificial intelligence capabilities into products and user workflows.
- Proven track record of implementing strategic visions that transformed product user experiences, integrated AI technologies, and drove business outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of modern design principles, tools, and frameworks, including experience with design systems.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability best practices, and accessibility standards, plus familiarity with AI design frameworks and pipelines.
- Experience managing, scaling, and mentoring global design teams, particularly in incorporating AI into features.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills to convey concepts-especially AI-enabled design narratives-to executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in cloud computing, security, or related tech industries, especially with AI integrations.
- Knowledge of lean and agile environments, with a focus on iterative product development and AI-enhanced collaboration.
- Familiarity with advanced design tools like Figma, InVision, or similar platforms for building AI-enhanced user flows.
- Exposure to AI tools, machine learning workflows, and predictive analytics platforms.

The annual base pay for this position is: $311,000.00 - $466,600.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business.
