The Vice PresidentofFinancial Planning & Analysis (7P&A8) plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and efficiency across our organization.This positionwillbe responsible forleading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to drive business performance and inform decision-making at all levels of the organization.The Vice Presidentof FP&Areports directly to the Senior Vice President Finance andReal Estateandinvolvesa high levelof strategic thinking, influence, and collaboration with other senior leaders within the organization.This position drives continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility andmaintainsAdvance Auto Parts vision,mission,and culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute long-term financial plans aligned with companyobjectives, incorporating market trends, growth opportunities, and risk assessments.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads toestablishtargets and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Develop rolling forecasts toprovidereal-time insights into financial performance.

  • Provide insightful analysis of financial results, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to senior management and the board of directors.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, marketing, and HR to provide financialexpertiseand support strategic initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, offering financial insights to drive informed decision-making.

  • Establish key performance indicators (7KPIs8) and benchmarks to measure business performance and drive continuous improvement. Monitor financial metrics and performance against targets,identifyingareas for optimization and efficiency.

  • Develop sophisticated financial models to support scenario planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making. Evaluate thefinancial impactof various business initiatives and investment opportunities.

  • Build and develop a high-performing FP&A team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Assess and mitigate financial risks, implementingappropriate controlsand processes to safeguard company assets.

  • Collaborate closely withsenior leadership andthe executive team, particularly the CFO, to ensure that the shared services strategy aligns with the companys overall strategicobjectives. Provide regular updates to the executive committeeonperformance and strategic direction ofthecompany.

  • Develop and execute a talent management strategy including succession planning, leadership development, and recruitment.Identifyand nurture high-potential employees within the department.

  • Act as a change agent within the organization, championing initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings.

  • Evaluate, implement, andmaintaintechnology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, such as automation tools, and data analytics.

  • Develop and execute strategies that align to the companys working capital metrics to drive cash flow optimization.

  • Establishes andmaintainssolid relationships with business leaders including executive leadership team.

  • Manage capital expenditures process, including but not limited to forecasting, budgeting, analysis, modeling, reporting, and approval process on all capital expenditures; provides suggestions of capital investments and long-term impactto business.

  • Manage teammembersacross the US and India

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degreeFinance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated & practicalfinanceexperienceincludingleading large teams,track recordof continuous improvement, andability to lead without direction.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.Proventrack recordof strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

  • Comfortable presenting toexecutiveteam as well asstaff members.Demonstrated financial acumenincluding strongself-awarenessinvariousmeetings and presentation settings.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, witha track recordof developing talent and driving results.

  • Advancedproficiencyin financial modeling and Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan) is desirable.

  • Proven ability toinfluence team members by living corporate cultural beliefs in all you do.

  • Ability to travel up to10%
