POSITION SUMMARYThe VP, CPACE Origination sources, structures and originates CPACE financing opportunities for Bayview's CPACE platform, primarily for transactions greater than $10 million across new construction and retroactive financings. This senior revenue-producing role expands market coverage, deepens borrower and intermediary relationships, and supports Bayview's CPACE growth strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOrigination and Business Development- Source and originate CPACE debt opportunities greater than $10 million across new construction and retroactive financings.
- Originate at least $50 million of closed CPACE transactions annually; seasoned originators are expected to exceed $100 million.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified CPACE opportunities across relevant property types and geographies.
- Build and deepen relationships with borrowers, sponsors, developers, owners, mortgage bankers, brokers, banks, debt funds and capital partners nationwide.
- Generate qualified pipeline through targeted outreach, strategic networking, industry events and market intelligence.
- Maintain current CRM and email marketing records, track activity and coordinate internally to manage conflicts.
Deal Screening, Structuring and Execution- Screen CPACE opportunities against program requirements, Bayview underwriting criteria and transaction feasibility.
- Evaluate sponsor strength, market dynamics, property type, capital stack and pro forma assumptions.
- Structure, underwrite and negotiate terms consistent with Bayview's credit standards, program guidelines and risk-return objectives.
- Work with analysts and CPACE resources to screen opportunities, generate quotes, prepare greenlight reviews and develop term sheets.
- Present opportunities to internal committees, clearly articulating merits, risks, mitigants, returns and required approvals.
- Work closely with banks, debt funds and other lending partners to obtain consent for CPACE transactions when required.
- Manage origination through signed term sheet and support transaction management through closing and servicing.
Market Strategy and Platform Development- Maintain current knowledge of CPACE and CRE lending markets, including capital flows, pricing, credit trends and sponsor behavior.
- Provide market insights on target assets, geographies, sponsors, financing structures and competitive positioning.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate Bayview's CPACE platform.
- Identify complementary mezzanine, bridge, construction and permanent loan opportunities with the Bayview Commercial team.
Relationship Management and Internal Collaboration- Serve as a trusted financing advisor by delivering tailored CPACE solutions and maintaining executive-level client relationships.
- Collaborate with underwriting, credit, transaction management, asset management, legal, capital markets, servicing and portfolio teams.
- Align origination activity with senior management on capital availability, investment mandates, credit priorities and portfolio goals.
- Represent Bayview professionally at industry events, conferences, client meetings and marketing initiatives.
Professional Standards and Other Responsibilities- Prioritize assignments and deliver expected work product on a timely basis.
- Exercise exemplary corporate citizenship, including strict adherence to compliance requirements, internal policies and Bayview's tenets.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of commercial construction loan origination or CRE debt origination experience.
- Experience in CPACE, CRE mortgage banking, debt fund lending, bank lending, structured finance or real estate capital markets preferred.
- Proven ability to independently source, structure, negotiate and close CRE debt transactions in a competitive environment.
- Established relationships with sponsors, developers, owners, brokers, mortgage bankers, banks, debt funds and capital partners.
Preferred Qualifications- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Ten or more years of senior-level CPACE, CRE debt origination, structured finance or real estate capital markets experience preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development capability and a track record of building actionable pipeline.
- Strong understanding of CPACE financing, CRE debt products, transaction structures, underwriting and risk assessment.
- Ability to evaluate sponsors, market fundamentals, capital stacks, pro forma assumptions and transaction feasibility.

- Strategic thinker able to convert market intelligence into actionable origination strategy.

LOCATION and COMPENSATION:- This role will be remote (preference for TX, Northeast, or CA) with ability to work in the NYC, Denver, or Coral Gables office.
- Base compensation is expected to be $150,000-$200,000* with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
