Vice President, Sales

Vice President of Sales | Certus Home Services

Build the Stage Engine behind our Next Stage Growth

Certus Home Services is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Sales to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the development of a scalable, high-performing sales organization across our growing portfolio of residential and commercial home service businesses.

This is not simply a role focused on hitting a sales number. We are looking for an executive who can build the infrastructure, leadership, accountability, and strategy required to create predictable and profitable revenue growth at scale.

The VP of Sales will own the national sales strategy, lead distributed inside and outside sales organizations, and work alongside Operations, Marketing, Finance, and the broader Executive Leadership Team to ensure growth is not only aggressive-but sustainable, operationally aligned, and profitable.

The Opportunity

As Vice President of Sales, you will have the opportunity to shape how Certus approaches sales across a multi-location, multi-state organization.

You will build upon our existing foundation while creating the systems, leadership structure, KPIs, CRM discipline, and performance culture necessary to drive consistent execution across markets.

Your mandate will include:

• Own the national sales strategy and translate company growth and profitability objectives into clear, executable plans across residential and commercial channels.
• Lead and develop sales leadership and field teams, creating a culture of accountability, performance, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Build a scalable sales operating system with standardized processes, KPIs, CRM expectations, pipeline management, and performance reviews.
• Create predictable revenue performance through disciplined forecasting, territory management, conversion optimization, and sales productivity.
• Identify new avenues for growth, including organic market expansion, commercial opportunities, and integration of acquired businesses.
• Partner across the ELT, particularly with Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to align sales demand, pricing, customer acquisition, operational capacity, and profitability.
• Develop the next generation of sales leaders capable of supporting continued geographic and organizational expansion.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measurable.

You will be expected to deliver year-over-year revenue growth while improving the consistency and predictability of sales performance across the organization. That includes stronger conversion and close rates, improved customer acquisition economics, increased customer lifetime value and retention, consistent productivity across markets, and highly disciplined CRM adoption and forecasting.

Our expectation is 95%+ CRM adoption and data accuracy, providing leadership with meaningful visibility into pipeline health, performance trends, and future revenue.

Ultimately, this leader will create a sales organization capable of scaling alongside the business-without sacrificing margin, operational execution, or the customer experience.

The Executive we are looking for

You are a strategic sales executive who is equally comfortable building strategy in the boardroom and driving accountability in the field.

You understand that exceptional sales organizations are not built on individual heroics. They are built through repeatable processes, strong leaders, meaningful data, disciplined execution, and clear expectations.

You bring:

• 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including senior-level leadership within home services or another recurring-revenue, field-based business.
• Demonstrated success leading large, geographically distributed inside and outside sales organizations.
• A track record of building scalable sales processes and driving measurable revenue performance.
• Advanced experience leveraging CRM systems, sales analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics to create accountability.
• Strong financial and operational acumen with an understanding of the relationship between revenue growth, pricing, capacity, customer acquisition cost, retention, and profitability.

Experience within pest control, HVAC, plumbing, lawn care, solar, or another home services vertical is highly valued. Experience operating in a rapid-growth, M&A-intensive, or private equity-backed environment will also position you well for success.
