Position SummaryAs a Vice President of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E), you will develop and lead strategy implementation of our "Zero Harm Journey". This role will see you directing the design, development, and implementation of corporate environmental safety policies, standards, and programs that enable compliance while allowing corporate groups, businesses, and categories to meet their business needs and goals. While doing so, you will maintain third party relations with key federal, state, and local leaders, legislators, regulators, and organizations. As the corporate leader of SH&E, this role will sit locally in our St. Louis corporate headquarters.
- Serve as a liaison with Nestlé Zone Americas Safety Leadership, coordinating any communication, initiatives, and programs with and from these groups. This includes input, and counsel on programs, strategy, and key issues raised.
- Work with internal SH&E legal counsel to ensure understanding and develop corporate interpretation and implementation of legislation and regulation. Partner with legal and government relations, providing awareness, educations support, and interaction to third parties on existing and proposed rules.
- Lead and manage a corporate team of direct reports.
- Ensure establishment, interpretation, and reporting of relevant KPI's, with appropriate leading and corrective actions based on them.
- Manage all aspects of safety strategy, policy, compliance, audit, training development, implementation, and validation.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or other industrial related environment required.
- 7+ years of safety leadership experience in a corporate environment supporting multiple facility types (i.e. manufacturing, industrial, corporate, etc.) required.
- Experience leading an organization through a safety culture change that sustainably delivered strong Recordable Incident Rate measures required.
- Experience and understanding of best-in-class training routines for SH&E and environmental sustainability required.
Other- Bachelors degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental or related discipline preferred.
- Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
