Vice President, Marketing Job Posting
About the Role
TechnoMile is seeking a hands-on, commercially oriented Vice President, Marketing to join our Marketing team. Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, you'll own the complete marketing function, with primary responsibility for building a predictable demand engine for our GovCon SaaS business. You'll oversee demand generation, field and event marketing, account-based marketing, product marketing, positioning and messaging, content, marketing operations, and brand. While you'll own Marketing end to end, this is not a brand-first role: the primary mandate is to create qualified pipeline, improve conversion through the funnel, and equip Sales to win in complex, high-value markets serving government contractors, aerospace and defense companies, and federal systems integrators. You'll work most closely with Sales leadership and Revenue Operations, while partnering closely with Product, Customer Success, and the broader executive team.
We believe this role is perfect for someone looking to combine strategy with disciplined execution, turning market insight, targeted campaigns, partner activity, content, digital programs, and events into measurable revenue outcomes. As part of a company that's building AI-enabled products, we're looking for someone who is comfortable using AI tools to enhance their own work and accelerate outcomes, and who brings recent, practical experience using AI-enabled tools to improve targeting, personalization, content production, campaign operations, analytics, and team productivity. You'll be part of a culture that values experimentation, continuous learning, and finding smarter ways to solve problems.
This role is open to candidates located in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and is a hybrid role reporting to our Tysons Corner, VA office.
About the Team
Our Marketing team is responsible for building a predictable demand engine across the GovCon software market. Together, we are responsible for demand generation, event-led growth, account-based programs, product marketing, and brand, through integrated multi-channel campaigns and close partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and Customer Success, so that marketing investment translates directly into qualified pipeline and revenue outcomes.
What You'll Work On
- Marketing function leadership: Own the marketing function end to end, including strategy, people, budget, technology, programs, performance, and cross-functional execution.
- Demand generation and pipeline: Build and execute an integrated demand-generation strategy that produces qualified pipeline across enterprise, mid-market, and growth segments.
- Revenue alignment: Partner closely with Sales leadership, Revenue Operations, Product, Customer Success, and executive leadership on target accounts, priorities, messaging, funnel definitions, service-level expectations, and quarterly pipeline goals.
- Event-led growth: Develop an event portfolio that treats conferences, executive roundtables, dinners, webinars, partner events, and customer forums as integrated campaigns, not isolated activities, with clear objectives, pre-event outreach, onsite engagement, lead routing, follow-up, and post-event conversion measurement.
- Account-based programs: Design coordinated programs for named and strategic accounts, including personalized outreach, executive engagement, partner activation, and content mapped to buying groups.
- Campaign execution: Lead multi-channel campaigns across email, digital, paid media, social, webinars, partners, content, and field marketing, with clear hypotheses, audiences, offers, budgets, and success measures.
- Messaging and content: Translate TechnoMile's capabilities into outcome-focused messaging for business and technical buyers, and oversee content that supports demand creation, opportunity progression, competitive differentiation, and sales conversations.
- Marketing operations and analytics: Build reliable funnel reporting, attribution, dashboards, forecasting, database discipline, and operating cadences, and use data to reallocate spend and improve conversion, velocity, and return on investment.
- Team leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, setting clear goals, creating accountability, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative, low-ego culture.
- Budget and vendors: Own the marketing budget and external partner ecosystem, making deliberate investment decisions based on pipeline contribution, strategic value, and measurable return.
- Leverage AI and automation tools for research, segmentation, personalization, campaign development, content workflows, lead intelligence, and analytics, while maintaining quality, security, and appropriate human oversight.
- Identify opportunities to embed AI into workflows and processes, enabling smarter, faster, and more scalable execution across the marketing function.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including leadership of demand generation, growth, field marketing, or integrated marketing teams; experience at the VP level or equivalent is preferred.
- A demonstrated record of building qualified pipeline and connecting marketing investment to revenue outcomes in a complex, consultative sales environment.
- Strong event-marketing expertise, including portfolio strategy, audience development, meeting generation, onsite execution, integrated follow-up, attribution, and ROI analysis.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing account-based marketing programs for named and strategic accounts, including account selection, buying-group engagement, personalized campaigns, Sales coordination, and measurement of pipeline impact.
- Strong command of modern demand-generation, marketing-automation, CRM, analytics, and sales-engagement practices, and experience marketing enterprise software or SaaS solutions to multiple stakeholders and executive buyers.
- A highly collaborative leadership style: an exceptional team player who works across functions, shares credit, welcomes constructive challenge, and prioritizes company outcomes over functional ownership.
- Recent, hands-on experience using generative AI and automation tools in production marketing workflows, with the ability to explain what you used, how you implemented it, and the measurable impact achieved, and sound judgment on when to lean on AI versus human insight.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GovCon, aerospace and defense, federal systems integration, public-sector technology, or another regulated B2B market.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, customer relationship management, source-to-contract, ERP, enterprise asset management, or adjacent enterprise applications.
- Experience marketing to functions such as Growth, Business Development, Capture, Contracts, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, IT, and Security.
- Experience building partner-led demand with consulting firms, systems integrators, technology partners, associations, and industry influencers.
- Experience scaling marketing processes, teams, and technology in a growth-stage SaaS organization.
