Our Impact Advisory team is comprised of experienced practitioners across impact investing, philanthropy, nonprofit management, and financial services. These professionals are integrated across our advisory and investment teams to ensure that clients receive holistic, customized advice and resources.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional professional to join our Impact Advisory team in San Francisco or New York. This individual will serve as a philanthropic subject matter expert, trusted advisor to Jordan Park clients, and a critical extension of the firm's client coverage teams. This individual will lead sophisticated impact-focused client engagements and bring a distinctive combination of strategic thinking and practical execution. As a key member of a growing practice, this individual will also help shape and expand Jordan Park's Impact Advisory capabilities and broader client offering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Advisory
  • Bring strong advisory expertise, perspective, judgment, pattern recognition, and presence to client relationships, building trust and credibility as a valued thought partner on impact priorities.
  • Lead impact-focused engagements for clients, partnering closely with client advisors and broader coverage teams to deliver an integrated, exceptional client experience.
  • Advise and facilitate across generations, helping clients navigate values and purpose, family dynamics, governance, decision-making, and legacy building.
  • Partner across Jordan Park teams to connect impact priorities with clients' broader financial, investment, tax, and estate planning objectives.
  • Educate and train colleagues on key concepts, best practices, and timely topics related to clients' philanthropic and broader impact interests.

Strategy & Execution
  • Design and implement philanthropic strategies on behalf of clients, including goal-setting, mission development, structuring and governance, diligence, grantmaking, evaluation, and learning.
  • Translate strategy into action, developing practical roadmaps and helping clients deploy philanthropic and investment capital in support of their values and objectives.
  • Lead project management for complex client initiatives while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and follow-through.

Practice & Firm Development
  • Help build, evolve, and scale the Impact Advisory practice, strengthening our offering and service model to drive value for clients and growth for the firm, while contributing differentiated perspectives on emerging philanthropic and impact trends.
  • Cultivate and leverage a high-quality external network of industry partners, including philanthropic leaders, foundations, donor-advised fund providers, nonprofits, and other experts to expand the ideas, resources, and opportunities available to clients and the firm.
  • Develop and elevate colleagues, sharing expertise and contributing to a culture of excellence, collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and continuous learning.

About You
  • 10-15+ years of relevant professional experience, with meaningful progression in responsibility across philanthropic advisory, consulting, foundation or nonprofit leadership, wealth management, impact investing, and/or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience in philanthropic strategy, structuring, and practice.
  • Significant experience working directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, couples, families, and/or institutions, ideally in a trusted advisory capacity.
  • Exceptional client presence, relationship-building skills, judgment, and discretion, with the credibility to engage confidently with founders, family principals, senior executives, and other sophisticated stakeholders.
  • Fluency in financial and investment concepts and an ability to situate philanthropy within a client's broader financial and impact objectives; experience with impact investing, catalytic capital, and/or blended finance is highly valued.
  • Builder mentality, with experience creating, evolving, or scaling advisory offerings in entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to move seamlessly between conceptual strategy and practical execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information, develop a point of view, and communicate with clarity and nuance.
  • Highly emotionally intelligent, perceptive, collaborative, and discreet, with strong listening skills and an ability to navigate complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics.
  • Intellectually curious, resourceful, low-ego, and committed to delivering exceptional work as part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate Jordan Park's core principles of excellence, service, community, inclusion, and impact.
  • Bachelor's and advanced degrees or relevant professional training preferred.
