Description

Freedom credit cards sit within the Chase Branded Card portfolio and bring rewarding cashback products to millions of Americans. As a Vice President on the Freedom Product Strategy team, you will help drive the development of products such as Chase Freedom Rise, Unlimited, Flex, and Legacy 5%. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional group to create value propositions based on consumer design targets and market research. You will also drive the development of innovative card product features and capabilities, with the aim of staying ahead in the competitive cashback marketplace. You will monitor the performance of the portfolio, using data and analytics to develop strategies that ensure its health. Furthermore, you will help manage a roadmap of product launches and refreshes, helping drive and execute on the strategic agenda.

To be successful, you are an accomplished strategist and understand product strategy, customer experience, are good with data and analytics, and have a background in the credit card industry.You are knowledgeable of P&Ls and truly understand the industry, segment customers, and card economics.You have experience in consulting roles or product development teams.You are extremely capable in Excel and PowerPoint and know how to turn data and information into a compelling storyline.

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with analytics, marketing, product, design, research and finance teams to develop compelling card value propositions based on competitive intelligence, market research, design targets and customer segmentation, while considering risk, firm resources & financials
  • Assist in the business case creation of new products and capabilities; which will directly impact prioritization
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of product and capability roadmaps
  • Navigate a highly-matrixed organization, influence partners, build consensus, and work across various functional departments (e.g., design, agile products)
  • Develop executive level presentation materials to convey and drive prioritization of card strategies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Be a strong self-starter who can proactively engage with a cross-organizational team and demonstrate critical thinking without formal direction
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and achieve results without direct supervision over resources
  • Nimble thinker who is comfortable with change and creating structure from ambiguity or transformation
  • Experienced in helping design research or data studies, reading beyond the data, understanding customer drivers and needs, experimentation and learning agendas
  • Prior experience in strategy or financial product development/refreshes
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills with an excellent ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • MBA or equivalent experience in a financial services or consumer product organization
