You will work closely with Engineering, Investment, Product, and AI teams to build a modern data foundation that enables faster innovation and better decision-making.

What You'll Own

Data Strategy & Architecture

  • Establish scalable architecture and make pragmatic decisions balancing performance, security, cost, and business needs.
  • Build a modern data platform supporting portfolio construction, performance, risk, analytics, and AI use cases.

Data Engineering & Governance
  • Lead the design of reliable, scalable pipelines for market, security, portfolio, and historical data.
  • Establish practical standards for data quality, lineage, governance, security, and ownership.
  • Evolve financial data models and semantic layers to create consistent, reusable data across products and teams.
  • Ensure data can be easily consumed through APIs, applications, analytics, and AI/LLM solutions.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build and lead a high-performing Data Engineering and Data Platform team.
  • Partner with Engineering, Investment, Product, and AI leaders to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage modern data and AI technologies to create competitive advantage.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, architecture, or technology leadership, including significant team leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, APIs, and distributed data pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of financial/investment data, including securities, portfolios, market data, performance, risk, and time-series data.
  • Experience building data platforms that support analytics, applications, and AI/LLM workloads.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, lineage, security, and ownership.
  • Ability to move between strategic thinking and technical detail, making pragmatic architecture decisions.
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing technical teams.

Success Looks Like

A trusted, scalable data foundation where teams can quickly find, understand, and reliably access the right data-and build products, analytics, and AI capabilities without repeatedly solving the same data problems.
