The opportunityDelaware North is searching for a Vice President, Strategy to join our team based out of our corporate headquarters in Buffalo, New York. This role partners closely with senior leadership to shape long-term priorities, guide enterprise strategy, and drive growth across the business. You will lead strategic planning efforts and evaluate new opportunities that fuel innovation and expansion.
Pay Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $231,900 - $295,100 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do? - Lead the annual strategic planning process in collaboration with executive leadership and business units.
- Define and refresh long-term goals and key initiatives.
- Partner with business and corporate development to identify and evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities (e.g., market expansion, partnerships, new business lines).
- Identify, build, and execute high-impact strategic partnerships, serving as a key external representative and translating market insights into growth opportunities.
Partner with corporate development and legal teams to analyze, structure, and execute acquisitions, joint ventures, or strategic investments. - Maintain current views on industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer insights to inform executive decisions.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and strategic recommendations.
- Build and lead a high-performing strategy team. Provide mentorship, oversight, and professional development.
- Lead or support strategic initiatives across departments, ensuring alignment and measurable impact. Serve as a catalyst for innovation and change.
- Develop internal relationships with stakeholders, subsidiary leadership and key personnel of the company
More about you - Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy in the hospitality industry, or management consulting, with executive level experience leading a strategy function.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and executive-level decision support.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex problems into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as required, potentially up to 15%
