Job Description

Ares is seeking a Vice President or Principal to join its Global Capital Solutions team. This individual will play a key role in the structuring, execution, and management of a broad range of strategic financing solutions across Ares' investment platform. The role offers exposure to a diverse set of transactions, including fund finance facilities, asset-backed finance (ABF) structures, securitizations, rated feeder vehicles, collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), private placements, and other institutional financing solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of structured credit and financing markets, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the flexibility to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously. This individual will work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm and represent Ares in discussions with investors, rating agencies, lending institutions, and other financing partners.

Primary functions and essential responsibilities:
  • Support the origination, structuring, execution, and ongoing management of a broad range of financing transactions across the Ares platform.
  • Analyze and evaluate financing alternatives, market conditions, and capital structure opportunities across various asset classes and investment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models used for transaction structuring, cash flow analysis, ratings analysis, and investor presentations.
  • Coordinate transaction execution with internal investment teams, legal counsel, rating agencies, lenders, investors, placement agents, and other external counterparties.
  • Prepare investment committee materials, internal presentations, marketing materials, and financing proposals for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Lead due diligence efforts and support negotiations of transaction documentation and financing terms.
  • Monitor market developments within securitization, ABF, fund finance, and broader structured credit markets to identify new financing opportunities and optimize existing structures.
  • Manage multiple concurrent transactions with varying structures, timelines, and stakeholder requirements.


Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, Master's degree, CFA, or other advanced professional designation preferred.


Experience Required:
  • Relevant experience in structured finance, asset-backed finance, securitization, fund finance, private credit, investment banking, capital markets, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ABF, securitization, and institutional financing markets.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact confidently with senior executives, investors, rating agencies, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic and adaptable professional who can transition effectively between transactions with distinct structures, asset classes, and financing objectives.


General Requirements:
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 79 licenses are preferred; candidates without current licenses must be willing to obtain them.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$175,000 - $215,000
