In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the operational delivery of VFX shows, ensuring resources, schedules, communication and processes are managed effectively. You would help ensure each project is delivered to the highest quality standards and within its established objectives.
Your Responsibilities
Production planning and tracking
Create, update and maintain detailed schedules, ensuring milestones are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
Monitor show progress, anticipate risks and develop mitigation plans.
Adjust weekly targets based on project needs and team feedback.
Schedule and run efficient dailies.
Identify bottlenecks, dependencies and cross-department workflow issues-such as render, farm or task-related challenges-and escalate them to the appropriate leads.
Communication with clients and teams
Organize and support show reviews with internal teams and clients.
Manage deliveries and communicate potential project risks early.
Prepare and distribute weekly status reports to clients and stakeholders.
Support the supervision team in client presentations with clear, up-to-date project information.
Facilitate communication across departments so all teams have the information they need.
Operational management and continuous improvement
Communicate resourcing needs to the VFX Producer and anticipate future show requirements.
Oversee time and overtime tracking alongside Production Coordinators.
Proactively ensure the materials, data and resources needed for each stage of production are available.
Ensure Production Coordinators and Production Assistants keep tasks current in the tracking system and follow studio processes.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, costs and tools without compromising final quality.
Document lessons learned with the VFX Producer and help apply best practices to future projects.
Ensure safety protocols established by the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor are followed.
Team leadership
Lead and support the Coordinators and Assistants assigned to the show.
Help onboard new team members and support their integration into the project's processes and objectives.
Provide constructive feedback, support junior team members' development and foster a positive, collaborative working environment.
Motivate the team to achieve shared goals, recognize contributions and represent FOLKS' values.
