Veterinary Anesthesiologist

SAGE Campbell is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join our advanced and highly collaborative specialty team. This is an opportunity to practice anesthesia in a busy multispecialty and emergency hospital, working alongside specialists who manage complex surgical, neurologic, critical care, oncology, and rehabilitation cases.

SAGE Campbell's tenured specialty team includes Anesthesiology (full-time DACVAA Anesthesiologist on staff), Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology (this department does interventional cardiology procedures!), Neurology, Medical Oncology, Rehabilitation, and Surgery, in addition to ER and Urgent Care clinicians. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with these services on challenging cases while helping ensure patients receive thoughtful, individualized anesthetic care throughout their treatment.

The hospital has completed a remodel and is equipped with on-site MRI and CT, a new operating room with a C-arm, creating additional opportunities for advanced anesthesia support across surgical and interventional procedures. You'll be supported by experienced clinical and technical teams committed to high-quality patient care and efficient, collaborative workflows.

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Provide comprehensive anesthetic care for a diverse and complex specialty caseload
  • Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient condition, procedure, and comorbidities
  • Support advanced surgical procedures alongside the Surgery service, utilizing available imaging and surgical technology
  • Provide anesthesia support for complex neurologic, orthopedic, soft tissue, oncology, and other specialty procedures
  • Collaborate closely with Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, Oncology, Rehabilitation, and other specialty teams
  • Provide anesthesia support for advanced imaging procedures, including MRI and CT
  • Support procedures utilizing the hospital's new C-arm as the facility's surgical capabilities continue to expand
  • Help develop and refine anesthesia protocols and workflows
  • Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to technicians and support staff
  • Promote safe, efficient, and consistent anesthesia practices throughout the hospital
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning
