Description
W.E. O'Neil is looking for a VDC Engineer to lead Virtual Design & Construction at the project level. You'll work directly with the project team on the day-to-day VDC work that keeps projects coordinated, from running coordination meetings and resolving clashes to capturing what's actually built on site and checking it against the model.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being close to the work. You'll run the project's technology, not just support it, and your coordination will shape what gets built in the field.
This position reports to the Regional VDC Manager, and you'll collaborate with project teams, Marketing, Business Development, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Lead coordination meetings and drive issue resolution with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
Manage on-site reality capture, including laser scanning, drone operations, and Cupix
Review clashes and create issues in the coordination model
Manage coordination deliverables, including deck penetrations, horizontal penetrations, pad drawings, RCPs, and overhead drawings
Verify work in place against the coordination model
Implement VDC tools and procedures on assigned projects
Work with Marketing, Business Development, and IT as needed
