Full Job Description
Associate UX / IA Director

You are the strategy and measurement anchor for clients trying to make better decisions with their data. The work spans analytics program design, measurement frameworks, data strategy, and client leadership, and you are not handing off recommendations, you are seeing them through. You bring genuine business thinking. You help shape what clients should do, not just what the data says. This is a player-coach role. You will lead discovery sessions, pressure-test hypotheses, and present to senior stakeholders every week. You will own client relationships, drive business development, and mentor the practitioners around you. The most important thing you will do is make clients better at using data to run their business.

What experience should you have:
  • 10+ years of product design experience, with at least 4 in a senior, lead, or principal role at a complex B2B SaaS, platform, or operator-facing product. Consumer-only backgrounds are not the right fit.
  • A portfolio that proves craft at complexity. IA you owned that made a hard product feel obvious, Figma files that are organized and intentional, interaction design for high-stakes workflows. We will look closely.
  • Experience owning a design system in production: components, tokens, patterns, governance, and the engineering partnership that makes it stick. You read the code, file precise issues, and show up to technical reviews.
  • Direct research experience with senior practitioners or executives. You can run an interview without leading the witness, synthesize across small samples without overreaching, and present findings to people who don't want to hear them.
  • Strong product instincts. You can argue for or against scope, sequence, or a feature based on user need, business context, and platform coherence. You are not waiting to be told what to design.
  • A track record of mentoring designers, formally or informally. Even as a solo practitioner, the way you work needs to be teachable.

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Own the information architecture: navigation, taxonomy, page hierarchy, language, concept grouping. This product has a lot of surface area; you keep it coherent.
  • Design the critical workflows: how operators triage signals, configure actions, review AI outputs, and approve high-stakes decisions. The hard problems are about cognitive load, not pixels.
  • Build and maintain the design system: components, patterns, tokens, accessibility, and documentation that lets engineers extend it without your hands on every commit.
  • Set the bar for visual craft. Skeptical executives will look at this product. It needs to look like the product they think it should be.
  • Run user research with operators, account leads, and executives. Decide what we need to learn before we build it, and go learn it.
  • Shape the product, not just the design. You are not handed a spec; you help write it. Your instincts about what should exist and in what order will influence the roadmap.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering on feasibility, solution architecture on what needs surfaces, data architecture on what's queryable, and leadership on what the product should mean.

Our total rewards program is designed for your protection, peace of mind, and overall well-being. In addition to our outstanding basics, we offer a net-zero cost medical option, company contributions to your HSA, fertility support, fully-paid parental leave, a monthly stipend for your lifestyle spending account, and much more.
