What you'll do...
Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Data Science leads advanced analytical initiatives to develop, validate, and deploy complex models that drive strategic business decisions. We are seeking an experienced and technical individual to join the Mobius Digital Twin team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the continuous evolution, fidelity, and strategic deployment of Walmart's cutting-edge digital twin platform. You will spearhead high-fidelity Walmart Fulfillment Engine and EDF simulations, lead cross-functional capability development with Product and Engineering, and pioneer AI-powered simulation engines that de-risk multi-billion-dollar supply chain decisions.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the development, assessment, and validation of advanced analytical models using best practices to ensure accuracy, robustness, and relevance.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable data science projects aligned with strategic objectives, providing recommendations to solve complex challenges.
  • Deliver data-driven insights through Walmart Fulfillment Engine (WFE) simulations to de-risk key operational strategies and unlock measurable CP (Cost-to-Serve) and GMV opportunities
  • Model critical peak-season scenarios, including pop-up sourcing strategies, contingency routing, and disruptive weather.
  • Build high-fidelity network simulation models to evaluate major infrastructure decisions.
  • Help pioneer Walmart's first-of-its-kind AI-powered digital twin platform to run millions of simulations at scale, powering core decision engines like sensitivity-based placement optimization.


What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong knowledge of model assessment, validation, and tuning methods to ensure accuracy and robustness.
  • Deep understanding of fulfillment logic (WFE), inventory placement, multi-tier flow, and transportation/network design.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate complex data insights.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously as a senior technical individual contributor, translating complex executive strategies into actionable computational models.
  • Solid understanding of business context across multiple domains to drive impactful analytics outcomes.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
