Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Data Science leads advanced analytical initiatives to develop, validate, and deploy robust machine learning models that drive strategic business decisions. This role requires expertise in statistical modeling, data visualization, and programming languages such as Python and SQL. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights, guiding model development, and mentoring associates. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with business objectives, promote best practices in data science, and support continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and deliver measurable business impact.

What you'll do:

This role will focus on Perishable First Mile network translating the CVP value drivers of assortment, speed/freshness, cost and service into network capacity and capability plans, partnering closely with merchandising, operations, engineering and sourcing. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within the organization with expectations to deliver immediate results. Model perishable capacity, temperature-zone mix, and lead time to shelf across DCs and forward-deployed assets so freshness and population coverage improve while cost-to-serve comes down. This role will provide strategic input and analytical support to working groups for these initiatives while providing feedback loops to the longer-term strategic vision.

  • In-depth understanding of business domains and ability to translate requirements into actionable data-driven strategies.
  • Proven leadership skills to mentor teams, guide technical development, and drive continuous improvement in analytics practices.
  • Ability to apply best practices in model assessment, tuning, and deployment to ensure accuracy and robustness.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
