Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Programs, modifies, commissions, and troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and automated control systems supporting manufacturing operations. Diagnoses complex controls and automation issues using PLC logic, electrical schematics, system diagnostics, and field-level troubleshooting. Supports the development, modification, and optimization of PLC programs, Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications, control sequences, alarms, interlocks, and automated equipment. Works with automation technologies including robotics, sensors, instrumentation, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial communications, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic controls, touch panels, and other industrial control equipment. Utilizes one-line and electrical schematic designs, electrical equipment controls, instrumentation, and system configurations. Works with industrial control platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, FactoryTalk, Siemens, B&R, and related PLC/HMI systems. Provides on-call remote and onsite technical support for automation equipment. Performs root-cause troubleshooting of PLC, controls, electrical, instrumentation, network, and automation-related equipment failures to restore production and prevent recurrence. Partners with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing performance. Trains and develops associates on the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment and control systems. Provides technical guidance and coaching in PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, automation diagnostics, and safe work practices. Manages the daily operations of automation systems by performing and coordinating routine maintenance of instruments and controls utilized to process materials from raw states to finished products. Upgrades and replaces components and control systems. Continuously monitors operations and processes, identifies operational malfunctions, and corrects malfunctions as needed. Completes work orders, records, logs, program documentation, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures. Supports plant operation, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement programs (for example, Break Down Analysis and Break Down Deployments). Executes process improvement and automation projects by identifying customer and operational needs, identifying performance standards, measuring progress, and adjusting performance accordingly. Identifies opportunities to improve equipment performance through PLC programming, controls optimization, automation upgrades, and elimination of recurring equipment failures. Develops contingency plans and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these principles in executing business processes and practices.
