The opportunity

As a US Tax Manager in EY's U.S. Tax Practice, you'll lead and supervise complex tax engagements, delivering high-quality compliance services and innovative tax planning for multinational clients across public and private sectors. Based in Waterloo or Toronto, you'll work closely with EY's national U.S. Tax platform and collaborate with professionals across Canada and the United States.

You'll analyze and resolve complex U.S. and cross-border tax issues, develop practical and creative solutions, and guide the preparation and review of corporate and partnership tax returns for clients with international operations.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance engagements for multinational and Canadian-based clients
  • Review U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns and supporting documentation
  • Conduct technical research and draft U.S. tax memoranda
  • Advise on cross-border matters, including inbound and outbound U.S. tax issues
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members across Toronto, Waterloo, and national engagement teams
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing culture

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
  • Toronto: $92,000 to $138,000
  • Waterloo/London: $87,000 to $131,000
