Job Description

Monitors and analyzes underwriting performance based upon claims experience. Develops rates, projections and recommends benefit changes based upon plan underwriting principles.

1. Monitors and analyzes underwriting performance based upon claims experience.

2. Utilizes underwriting and financial principles to develop rates, projections and recommendations for benefit changes.

3. Assesses financial risk on a case-level basis for both new and renewal business.

4. Maintains underwriting standards through the use of models and manuals.

5. Collaborates with sales staff to generate creative solutions for customer needs.

6. Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field, required.
• Minimum of three (3) years in health product underwriting, preferably large group, required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, analytical and decision making skills, required.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
