JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for performing echocardiograms on all patients, assisting physicians with transesophageal and stress echocardiogram protocols and a variety of other cardiology procedures/tests and related functions as ordered by a physician/LIP under the indirect supervision of a Registered Cardiac Ultrasonographer.
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training/Experience:REQUIRED:
- Successful completion of, at minimum, a single two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related.
- Successful completion of a general, medical or sonographic physics class/seminar/course
PREFERRED:
- Previous healthcare experience.
