Full Job Description
Preferred • 6+ years of experience in Backup & Restore/Storage environment and 3 years of daily hands-on support & administration of Symantec NetBackup & Backup Exec in large enterprise environment. • Specialized experience includes: concept of BackUp, Restore, Archive, Performance Tuning, policy creation & modification; must have experience in current NetbackUp /TSM / CommVault application tools; tuning NetBackUp/BackUpExec / TSM / CommVault to gain maximum performance of tape drives & maximum throughput of servers; ability & proven experience writing & maintain scripts to perform NetBackUp / TSM / CommVault functions utilizing command line interface • At least 5+ years of experience in Development/ Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment • At least 5+ years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process • Good Analytical, Planning, Co-ordination and Communication skills • Experience with project management • Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel. • Install and configure TSM 5.x, 6.3 on windows and UNIX platform. • Working knowledge on Disaster recovery. • Working Knowledge on TDPs (Oracle, SQL etc.). • Working Knowledge on Virtual machine backup and recovery. • Working knowledge of Tape Libraries (storagetek, IBM)/Tape Drivers DLT/LTO/3590/9840. • Thorough understanding of backup and recovery technologies and practices• • Business Impact analysis experience as well as ROI/RTO analysis experience Skills: • • Excellent problem solving skills required• • Excellent Team Building skills required• • Excellent Time management required• • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team• • Strong ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects required• • Excellent learning skills required• • Ability to manage vendor relations required• • Excellent written and oral communication skills required• • Team Building Skills and People management experience required. • Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel • At least 5 years of experience in Development/ Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment • At least 5 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process
