Leidos Defense Sensor is seeking a talented
Traveling Software/ Radar Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, we provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCandidate will support advanced technology radar programs through local field testing and both CONUS and OCONUS test event support. When not traveling or testing the candidate will be involved with developing documentation to support installation and operation of the systems to aid in training of new personnel.
In this role you will work closely with other skilled engineers during system installation and operation. Onsite network configuration and debugging will be required while working alongside military personnel. Minor bash script creation and/or modification may be required to establish a repeatable and simple solution to support day-to-day activities.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) from an ABET-accredited school plus 2-4 years of relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience traveling for work and be willing to travel up to 75 % to test events both CONUS and OCONUS for extended periods and on short notice.
Must possess excellent teamwork skills and possess and show good fundamentals in the following:
- RedHat Linux experience
- Bash scripting
- Networking experience
- Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL, area
- Must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- C++ development
- Active passport

Pay Range:Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
