Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and manage staff within the Transportation discipline.
  • Oversee project priorities, objectives, financial management, and staffing.
  • Serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Plan business development activities, including strategic plans and client presentations.
  • Manage client relationships, including contract negotiations and engagement efforts.
  • Participate in professional societies and networking activities.

Full Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity available for a strong Transportation Engineer/Project Manager, in our Green Bay office.

Transportation Engineer/Project Manager responsibilities may include:

  • Leadership and responsibility of projects, pursuits, and staff within the Transportation discipline of our Green Bay office.
  • Project/Team oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, financial management, and project staffing/work-sharing with other offices.
  • The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team.
  • Success in business development planning, to include developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development.
  • Client management, including abilities to negotiate contracts and develop client engagement activities.
  • Professional society involvement.

We are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
  • Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards.
  • PE license in WI required; PE in MN & IL a plus.
  • Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
  • Project Management experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members are necessary.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation and Open Roads Designer is an advantage.
