This role will partner directly with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead on each initiative, incorporating change impacts, stakeholder readiness, and adoption requirements into the integrated delivery plan. This role is responsible for supporting the US business across a dynamic, complex business environment to navigate portfolio dependencies, executive decision-making, implementation readiness, measurable outcomes, and the transition of new capabilities into sustainable business ownership. The Transformation Project Delivery Director will work closely with initiative sponsors, business and functional leaders, technology teams, Organizational Change Management, subject matter experts, and regional and global transformation partners.
The Transformation Project Delivery Director and OCM Lead work as an integrated delivery partnership on each initiative. The Transformation Project Delivery Director owns the integrated delivery plan, governance, execution, and business outcomes. The OCM Lead owns the change strategy, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, and adoption outcomes. Both roles jointly identify risks, advise sponsors, and ensure delivery decisions reflect operational and people impacts.
This position can be based out of any mutually agreed WSP US office. Your ImpactKey ResponsibilitiesIntegrated Planning and Delivery- Lead complex transformation initiatives from definition through implementation, stabilization, and closeout.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear scope, outcomes, workstreams, milestones, resource requirements, and integrated delivery plan.
- Coordinate business, process, technology, data, controls, and change activities within the overall plan.
- Maintain focus on measurable business outcomes and clear ownership of deliverables.
- Tailor the delivery approach to the complexity, risk, and needs of each initiative.
Governance and Decision Management- Establish clear governance, roles, decision rights, escalation paths, and meeting cadences.
- Provide sponsors and senior leaders with concise, decision-oriented reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, resources, and outcomes.
- Track key decisions, commitments, assumptions, and unresolved issues.
- Escalate matters requiring leadership action with clear options, implications, and recommendations.
- Apply US Transformation Office standards, tools, and controls throughout the initiative lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Coordination and Dependency Management- Lead multidisciplinary teams across business, operational, functional, and technical areas.
- Build alignment among stakeholders with differing priorities, objectives, and constraints.
- Identify and manage dependencies across workstreams, initiatives, systems, business lines, and global programs.
- Facilitate decisions, establish clear ownership, and remove barriers to delivery.
- Coordinate with the OCM Lead to ensure stakeholder impacts, organizational readiness, and adoption requirements are integrated into project decisions and plans.
Risk and Implementation Readiness- Own the integrated risk, issue, action, and dependency process, ensuring accountable owners and mitigation plans are established.
- Monitor resource, capacity, schedule, technology, data, control, and operational risks that may affect delivery.
- Lead implementation readiness, confirming that process, technology, data, controls, support, staffing, and business ownership requirements are addressed.
- Develop implementation, cutover, contingency, stabilization, and transition plans.
- Partner with the OCM Lead to provide sponsors with an integrated readiness assessment that distinguishes implementation readiness from organizational readiness.
Performance and Sustainable Outcomes- Monitor progress against approved scope, milestones, and expected outcomes, and lead corrective action when delivery is off track.
- Maintain an accurate source of truth for plans, decisions, risks, dependencies, and governance materials.
- Coordinate stabilization and the structured handoff of new capabilities to permanent business owners.
- Capture lessons learned and apply them to improve future transformation delivery.
- Strengthen project-management capability through practical guidance, coaching, and consistent delivery practices.
Who You AreQualifications and Experience- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, finance, data analytics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 12+ or more years of project or program management experience, including leadership of complex, multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, dependencies, governance, and project information.
- Experience leading strategic, operational, technology, systems, finance, integration, or M&A-related initiatives.
- Experience working within a large, matrixed organization and leading teams through influence.
- Strong understanding of organizational change and the people implications of transformation.
- Strong project and program leadership.
- Executive-level written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complexity and organize ambiguous work.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support and capabilities.
- Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
- Resourceful with ability to manage competing priorities without losing focus on critical outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred; comparable experience will be considered.
- Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, or another project-based environment is preferred.

Compensation
- Expected Salary (all locations): $153,400-$283,600
