Title:
Training Technology and Simulator Engineer

KBR is seeking a Training Technology and Simulator Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

KBR is the prime contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state of the art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

The Training Technology and Simulator Engineer will support analysis, assessment, and development of training technologies that enhance operational readiness. The successful candidate will provide expertise related to Test and Training Simulators (TTS), Digital Twin technologies, virtual training environments, and associated training devices and equipment.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze requirements for training simulators, synthetic environments, and digital training platforms
• Assess Test and Training Simulator (TTS) capabilities and applicability
• Support Digital Twin concept development and training integration activities
• Develop recommendations for training devices, technologies, and architectures
• Coordinate with engineering and training development teams regarding simulator requirements
• Evaluate emerging training technologies and modernization opportunities
• Support development of technical documentation and training technology roadmaps
• Participate in customer reviews and technical interchange meetings

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Simulation Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience supporting simulation, modeling, training systems, or test environments
• Knowledge of military training systems and simulation technologies
• Experience working with technical and operational stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired:
• Masters degree in any field
• Digital Twin implementation experience
• Space systems or aerospace training systems experience
• Experience with Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environments
• Model-based systems engineering experience
• Familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) development
• Professional certifications (INCOSE) such as INCOSE CSEP or ESEP
• Active DoD Top Secret, SCI clearance

Compensation: $126,900 to $158,600 in El Segundo, CA

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
