Position Overview

The Training Manager will oversee training and instructional leadership of all Vendor Personnel.

The Training Manager position is located and will report daily on-site in the San Antonio, TX area.

Duties
  • Program Development:

  • Will develop computerized, on the job training, in a dedicated portal and with an optimized ability to review training records electronically as well as create proactive training plans based upon ongoing information analyses.
  • Coordinate, develop, deliver and manage Vendor Personnel training and development programs; conduct needs assessments; identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes.

  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Ensure that laws and regulations that might affect the Services are reviewed and changes are implemented as necessary.
    • Prepare compliance reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Training Facilitation:
    • Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences.
    • Provide Client Security Managers annual re-certification training schedule and provide monthly updates of training completion progress.
  • Training Program Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement a method of measuring the effectiveness of the training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Must be 21 years old and a United States Citizen.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance with POLY.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security or law enforcement, with at least 5 years in a training or leadership role.
    • Proven experience in firearms training and use-of-force instruction.
  • Certifications:
    • Firearms Instructor Certification (e.g., NRA, POST, or equivalent).
    • Documented training certificates in defensive tactics.
    • Able to obtain an armed security guard license and firearm permits as state and local regulations require.
    • Must pass all training and obtain required medical certifications, including CPR and First Aid/AED.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of security operations, laws, and regulations.
    • Excellent instructional and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in conflict de-escalation techniques and emergency response protocols.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
    • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate in English, both orally and in writing, at a high school level or better.
    • Must be able to maintain a standing or sitting position for up to two (2) hours, to include within the confines of a vehicle.
    • Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) lbs. climb up and down eight (8) flights of stairs.
    • Hold a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions
  • Requires both office work and field training environments, including outdoor settings.
  • May involve travel to training sites or client locations.
  • Must be comfortable working in high-stress scenarios during training simulations.

This compensation range is specific to San Antonio, TX and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Osen-Hunter, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $111,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
