- A bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in traffic engineering and/or traffic planning projects
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required
- Experience in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and conducting transportation and traffic engineering work
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques applicable to traffic engineering
- Excellent explanation, persuasion, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
- Proficiency in Synchro, Excel, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD); knowledge of HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM, ArcGIS, CUBE, and TransCAD is desired
- Strong understanding and practical experience applying HCM, MUTCD, AASHTO, and DOT's Policies and Procedures, including relevant policy manuals

About the RoleAs a
Traffic Engineer, you will:
- Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate transportation engineering projects, including traffic impact analyses, traffic forecasting, roundabout feasibility studies, parking studies, signal timing, access management, intersection safety analysis, operational studies, and corridor studies
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major projects, including production and review of engineering drawings based on applicable traffic calculations
- Prepare project materials such as fact sheets and presentations to clearly communicate project information to stakeholders and the public
- Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support personnel as part of project teams
- Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff
- Communicate and interact effectively with project team members, clients, review agencies, and other stakeholders
- Prepare project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and assist with overall project management
