Full Job Description
GAI Consultants has a career-building opportunity for a Traffic Engineer within our Transportation and Infrastructure Unit's traffic design group. This position can be based out of multiple office locations and has the opportunity for a sign-on Bonus.
Responsibilities
Design of traffic engineering elements including traffic signals, roadway lighting, signage and pavement markings, ITS infrastructure, and work zone traffic control.
Traffic analysis and modeling utilizing various software tools such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Synchro, Sidra, and PTV software tools (Vissim/Vistro/Visum).
Safety data collection and analysis including crash data review, crash rate calculations, and Highway Safety Manual (HSM) analysis.
Development related traffic impact analysis
Preparation of Transportation Management Plans for major roadway improvement projects
Preparation of traffic related technical documents and reports
Related field work and site visits
General Characteristics
