JOB DESCRIPTION
Join a market-leading Trade & Working Capital team where you'll advise senior executives, originate complex financing solutions, and drive strategic growth for clients through innovative trade and working capital strategies.
As a Sales Originator within Trade & Working Capital (T&WC), you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal partners, leading strategic engagements that identify and deliver tailored working capital and trade finance solutions. You will drive business growth by originating new opportunities, deepening client relationships, and providing innovative solutions that address complex liquidity, financing, and supply chain challenges.
Trade & Working Capital is a strategic growth business within Payments, providing clients with a comprehensive suite of solutions across Core Trade and Structured Working Capital. Products and structures include Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Sales Finance, Inventory Finance, Export Agency Finance, Letters of Credit, Trade Loans, and Bills of Exchange/Promissory Notes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with Commercial Banking teams to identify client needs and originate Trade & Working Capital solutions, with a particular focus on Receivables Finance and Supply Chain Finance, delivering value to clients while driving business growth.
  • Serve as the lead coordinator for complex structured financing transactions, managing cross-functional engagement with clients, Credit, Risk, Legal, Product Management, and Middle Office stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic account planning and go-to-market execution by partnering with Product, Commercial Banking, Payments Sales, and Investment Banking teams to drive client coverage and business development efforts.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager between Trade & Working Capital and assigned clients, ensuring a coordinated and seamless client experience across the organization.
  • Originate and develop new business opportunities by delivering strategic insights and presenting tailored financing solutions to senior executives, including Chief Financial Officers, Treasurers, and Chief Procurement Officers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client objectives, industry trends, and market dynamics to uncover opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Identify emerging client needs and market developments, providing strategic input to support product innovation and business growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Relationship Management, Corporate Banking, or Trade & Working Capital.
  • Strong knowledge of Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions, particularly Receivables Finance and Supply Chain Finance.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage senior client relationships, including understanding decision-making structures, strategic priorities, and purchasing behaviors.
  • Experience partnering across Banking, Product, and Sales organizations to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities that create value for clients and drive business results.
  • Demonstrated understanding of competitive market dynamics and the ability to position differentiated solutions effectively.
