Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, or 10 years of technical/manufacturing experience if holding a HS Diploma/GED
• Experience in engineering roles within a manufacturing environment, co-op or internship experience preferred
• Proficient problem-solving abilities
• Strong English communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Determine tooling requirements for manufacturing parts, including cost estimates and vendor quotes.
• Procure necessary tooling and equipment for production.
• Specify machine types and quantities, along with required tooling and fixtures.
• Establish production efficiency metrics including cycle times and hourly output.
• Assist in designing special tools and organizing equipment installation.
• Manage engineering modifications for production parts post-launch.
• Conduct time studies to inform labor cost estimates and production scheduling.
• Address customer and production issues while collaborating with team leaders to implement improvements.
• Drive continuous quality improvements utilizing Kaizen and other quality tools.
• Engage in initial engineering phases to outline machinery and tooling needs for complex production operations.
