Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) who has strong interpersonal and communications skills with command of the medical science surrounding Myasthenia Gravis (MG) for our
Rare Disease Organization (RDO) team based in our Thought Leader Liaison opportunity. This role is a regional-based field position covering the following states:
Texas Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, and Missouri. About the role The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based role that builds trusted relationships with healthcare thought leaders and connects external experts with UCB's U.S. Rare Disease Organization (RDO). TLL translates insights, coordinates compliant engagement, and partners across functions to support strategy, education, and patient care.

What you'll do - Develop purposeful relationships with established and emerging healthcare leaders across priority rare disease communities.
- Generate insights by gathering, documenting, and synthesizing external perspectives to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
- Develop engagement plans for assigned thought leaders, accounts, and congresses, with clear objectives aligned to business priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Enable compliant collaboration by connecting thought leaders with appropriate UCB partners and coordinating engagement across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and field teams.
- Support priority programs including advisory activities, peer education, congress engagement, speaker development, and other approved initiatives.
- Prioritize activity by focusing time and resources on engagements that advance RDO strategy, patient value, and effective ways of working
- Maintain disciplined execution through timely planning, documentation, reporting, follow-up, and adherence to UCB policies and applicable industry standards.
Interested? For this role, we're looking for the following education, experience and skills: - Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years' experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biotech
- 5+ years in field sales, product marketing, thought leader engagement or similar
- 2+ years Thought Leader Liaison experience or role with significant overlap in responsibilities
- Ability and willingness to travel 80% of the time required in the field. that will include weekends and evenings
- Must live within 1 hour of major airline airport HUB within the territory
- Experience managing demanding travel and meeting schedules
Preferred experience - Master's degree in life sciences, business or healthcare
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply knowledge about complex medical and scientific issues such as those related to the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care of MG
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with a high degree of cultural sensitivity and situational awareness as it relates to engaging with patients, payers, advocates and others living with orphan and rare disease
- Experience of working knowledge of US healthcare ecosystem and underlying relationships between practitioners, providers, payers, patients and government
- Balancing multiple priorities and levels of interactions across teams and disciplines while still adhering to strict budgets and timelines
- Experience working in Myasthenia Gravis or related conditions
- Working familiarity with compliment inhibitors and/or neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) based products
- Established relationships within the orphan / rare disease provider, patient and advocacy community
- Highly skilled at using Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Word
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $ 164,000.00-$215,300.00 annually. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
