About the job

This is a role for someone looking to build long term relationships and a long-lasting reputation within the industry. Within this role, you will directly manage a customer base of partner distributors & OEM partners. You will be expected to build relationships high, deep, and wide within your customer base, all the while looking for and managing business opportunities & sales pipeline. Ultimately, your role is to continue expanding Thermoid's market share & operational profit within the Central U.S. territory.

This is a remote role; however, we prefer the ideal candidate to reside in the Central Territory in one of the following cities: Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Omaha, Lincoln, or Kansas City. All applicants should reside near a major airport.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will be expected to travel as needed, often being away from home several days consecutively.
  • You will be expected to engage with your customers at all levels. You should know how to engage with CEO's & General Managers down to purchasing managers and field sales personnel.
  • You will be expected to keep up with industry trends and competitive intel as it relates to our product category.
  • While we aren't overly datacentric, you will be expected to report weekly interactions, and manage your opportunity pipeline.
  • This candidate should feel comfortable with crafting professional customer presentations, etc. using Microsoft suite of product. i.e., Excel, PPT, Word.
  • You should expect and drive to provide product/sales trainings with your distributor partners on a regular basis. Therefore, you should be comfortable presenting in front of large groups.

  • Self-Motivated- We don't micromanage...in fact, we expect that if we're driven to that point...we have the wrong person in the seat. You must be self-motivated to succeed and demonstrate complete ownership of your role.

Travel Required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to travel regularly up to 50% of the time

  • This is a remote role, however we prefer the ideal candidate to reside in Central Iowa.
