Telecom MSP Project Manager - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex telecommunications and managed services projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive telecom industry experience and a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure initiatives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The Senior Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project delivery, manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with strategic carrier partners, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage multiple concurrent telecommunications and managed services projects from initiation through successful completion and closeout. • Oversee complex infrastructure projects including Ethernet, SD-WAN, GPON, and firewall implementations across multiple customer sites. • Direct internal engineering, operations, and service delivery teams; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure accountability to project milestones and deliverables. • Manage strategic relationships with major telecom carriers (AT&T, Lumen/CenturyLink, Verizon) to negotiate terms, expedite circuit ordering, and resolve escalated issues. • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies. • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), project metrics, and success criteria; report progress to executive leadership and customers. • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and scope changes; implement corrective actions as needed. • Mentor and coach junior project managers to develop their skills and advance their careers. • Serve as primary point of contact for customer communications, providing strategic updates and managing stakeholder expectations at the C-level. • Optimize project management processes and systems; recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and delivery quality. • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. • Maintain detailed project documentation, lessons learned, and best practices to support organizational knowledge and continuous improvement. Qualifications • 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, program management, or senior operations roles within telecommunications or managed services. • Demonstrated expertise managing large-scale telecom and network infrastructure projects, including Ethernet, SD-WAN, GPON, and firewall deployments. • Extensive experience coordinating with major carriers on circuit ordering, provisioning, and complex service implementations. • Proven ability to manage project budgets, resources, and timelines for multi-million dollar initiatives. • Experience managing multiple vendors and carrier timelines across concurrent, high-priority projects. • Advanced proficiency with project management tools, ticketing systems, and business intelligence or reporting platforms. • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to direct and mentor cross-functional teams. • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience communicating at the executive and C-level. • Exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail in complex environments. • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and customers. • Preferred Skills • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification. • Experience managing multi-site, enterprise-level business connectivity projects. • Deep knowledge of telecom ordering processes, including ASR/LSR concepts and carrier provisioning workflows. • Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies. • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. • Track record of delivering projects ahead of schedule or under budget.
