Job Summary
The Technology Specialist will design and develop scalable Java-based REST microservices and modern web applications using React or Angular with TypeScript. The role will orchestrate data workflows with Apache Airflow, develop optimized ANSI SQL, and ensure application quality through automated testing and CI/CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions. The specialist will contribute to technical design, code reviews, performance tuning, production releases, technical documentation, and mentoring while supporting business-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design technical solutions and develop application programs aligned with business requirements and project deliverables, including component reusability.
• Design systems through well-defined interfaces across multiple components.
• Conduct code reviews and make technical decisions based on resource, data, infrastructure availability, and accessibility.
• Develop scalable Java-based REST microservices.
• Develop modern web applications using React or Angular with TypeScript.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Write optimized ANSI SQL.
• Develop code and write unit tests following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Coordinate with and provide support for Quality Engineering (QE) testing.
• Provide estimates for design, coding, and unit testing activities.
• Coordinate and provide technical input to Business Analyst (BA), QE, and Project Management (PM) teams.
• Complete technical documentation and training materials.
• Ensure product quality and completeness through code reviews, unit testing, SonarQube, NexusIQ, SAST, DAST, and documentation.
• Perform performance tuning as required.
• Support production releases.
• Mentor peers and contribute to the delivery of business-critical solutions.
Required Qualifications
• Experience developing Java-based REST microservices.
• Experience developing modern web applications using React or Angular with TypeScript.
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Strong experience with ANSI SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with automated testing and unit testing.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with code reviews and component reusability.
• Experience with application performance tuning.
• Experience with software quality and security tools such as SonarQube, NexusIQ, SAST, and DAST.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with BA, QE, and PM teams.
