This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will primarily support Anomaly recovery efforts as well as support the development, construction, and operation of liquid rocket engine test facilities for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of liquid rocket engine testing from test facility repair, construction to operation and maintenance, reporting to the Shift Leader. You will demonstrate operational excellence in test stand procedure execution, reviewing, improving, and following test procedures and processes. Working with engineers on planning and executing assembly for complex instrumentation and control systems, you will fabricate, install, and checkout wiring harnesses as well as assist the mechanical team as needed. We will rely on you to lead troubleshooting as needed with electronic systems and electrical ground support equipment. You will safely work with and around hazardous chemicals and high pressure fluid systems. Finally, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvements to promote workplace safety, achieve cost-savings, and make test stand operations more streamlined and consistent.

  • Deploy to any Blue Origin site within 48 hours of an anomaly response request (desired within 24 hours)

    Work Schedule & Rotation
  • Base Schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off (8/6 rotation), Monday through Monday on B rotation
  • Standard Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (subject to change based on operational needs)
  • Remaining Days Off: May be fully or partially rescinded for mandatory anomaly response, or employees may be requested (non-mandatory) to support a company priority
  • Overtime: Expected during anomaly response periods; minimized outside of anomalies to keep the team rested and ready
  • Off-Site Deployments
  • Deployments may last up to 28 days at a time
  • Minimum 3 days off provided within each deployment period
  • No more than 14 consecutive days worked during a deployment
  • Following a 4-week deployment, a minimum 7-day rest period is provided, extendable up to 12 days upon anomaly resolution
  • PTO Policy
  • Pre-planned PTO will be honored
  • New PTO requests submitted during an active anomaly response will be considered but are likely to be declined unless a strong rationale is provided

Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee's additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance.
